I finally had that “GM Circle+” blank cut by our local locksmith. He explained to me how to initialize it to our Suzuki van, and IT WORKS PERFECTLY! Thank you!

This Key Fob replaced my original Fob from 2007. Installation was quick and easy. NorthCoastKeyless price is a lot cheaper than the dealer and less than Auto Parts stores. I forgot how to separate the battery cover. So, I will pass on a few things to make the replacement easier. To separate your battery cover look for a small slit along the seam. Pry the seam open starting at the slot in the seam. The slot does not go all the way into the Fob. So find the right tool (screw driver blade thickness and width) to prevent cracking or marring the Fob. Gently pry open the seam open. If it has been opened in 2 years you will need to gently work it open. NOTE: To find the slot look at the key Fob seam, with the buttons up and the horn button end towards you will see the slot just to the right in the seam. Replacing the circuit board is easy. Before removing the circuit board and battery look at them and notice how they were originally installed. They will need to be fully in place before closing the case. Carefully remove the circuit board and battery. Install the old circuit board fully into the case. Carefully work the board and battery into place, they click into place.
Working with these switches/circuit boards for 40+ years I have learned that the board is usually fully functional if only one button fails. And the rubber button needs maintenance. Just like the icon fading on the outside of the button the conductive material on the inside of the button wears off. The circuit board printed S for the button should last for 30+ years.

I bought two of these to replace the crumbling Factory SX4 remote cases. The finish and shape are great. Note that you need to CAREFULLY move the metal piece from around the battery from the original back to the new back. This is separate from moving the remote “guts” and is delicate.
Unfortunately, once everything is moved and the remote snapped close, the buttons are too compressed and they don’t click. I tried this on both remotes cases and both factory remotes (2010 SX4 Technology). I then tried mixing and matching pieces. Since only the backs of the original remotes was broken, I used everything from the original remotes with just the new backs. That works fine and fixed my problem. So if you only need new backs this is a solution. If your fronts or button covers are bad, you may need another solution.
