Returns/Exchanges

What's your Return Policy?
At NorthCoast, we like to keep things simple:
30 Day No Questions Asked – If the remote you order isn’t compatible with your car, you can return it – no questions asked – up to 30 Days from the date of receipt for a full refund of the purchase price.
90 Day Repair or Replace – If your remote quits working within 90 Days of the date of receipt, we’ll repair it or replace it with a new one for free.
No Restock Fees, Ever – Unlike the other guys, we don’t make you pay for a buying mistake.
To process a return, all we need is your Name and original Order Number.  You won’t find that protection anywhere else.

How do I return/exchange a purchased item?
Just follow these 3 easy steps! 
Step 1: Email us at support@northcoastkeyless.com with your Order Number and a reason for the return or exchange request.
Step 2: Follow the instructions given to send your product back to us in its original condition.  Please include your Name and Order Number with the package.  You’ll have until 30 days from original receipt of the product to return the item in order to be eligible for a refund.
Step 3: Once we receive and process your return, we will either issue a refund or send you the replacement that you need.  Please allow 10 days for your refund to be fully processed.
How long does it take for me to get a refund for my return?
Please allow 10 business days for your refund to be fully processed.  If you cannot tell if your refund has been processed after 10 business days, contact us at support@northcoastkeyless.com.

What are your shipping options?
Domestic (Inside the US)

  • FREE Standard shipping – $0.00 – First Class USPS – Delivery within 4-5 business days
  • Expedited shipping – $5.94 shipment + $1.00 per item – Priority Class USPS – Delivery within 2-3 business days

International (Outside the US)

  • Canada shipping – $10.00 per shipment + $1.00 per item – Delivery within 10-15 business days
  • International shipping – $12.00 per shipment + $2.00 per item – Delivery within 15-30 business days
Do you ship to PO Boxes or Military APO/FPO addresses?
Absolutely, and we thank you for your service, Military members!
Will I receive a tracking number for my delivery? How do I track my order?
Yes!  We will email you a tracking number once your package is shipped.  It will include a link to USPS Tracking for your package.
I'm having issues with USPS tracking. What's going on?
Unfortunately, the USPS Tracking System isn’t updated in real-time.  Sometimes there can be as much as a 24 hour status update delay.  If the Tracking System says that your order has been delivered, it is likely that it has left the USPS warehouse and is already out for delivery.  Visit the USPS Tracking System to check again, or contact your local Post Office for more information.

Products/Brands

Do you sell the same keyless entry remotes that my local Dealership sells for my vehicle?
Yes! We ONLY sell original factory/manufacturer electronic keyless entry remotes. We sell both brand new and used remotes.  Just like those from your local dealer but for less, usually you save about 70% or around $100 (or more for “smart” proximity keys)!
I didn't get a keyless entry remote with my vehicle. How do I know which remote will work with my vehicle?
We can not confirm this for you. In order to check whether a keyless entry system is installed on your vehicle by calling a local Dealership with your VIN.  Then just search for the Part Number supplied by the Dealership on our website.  If you’re having issues finding the remote on our website, feel free to contact us and we’ll do what we can to assist support@northcoastkeyless.com.
How do I find a remote that I know is compatible with my vehicle?
Simply search for your Make/Model/Year on our website (ex. – “2009 Ford F150”).  
It’s important to get the correct remote for your vehicle. You can do this two ways: 1) Check an existing remote – Just check the back or inside of an existing fob. ALWAYS get the same button configuration. 2) Check with VIN – If you do not have an existing fob, call a Dealership with your VIN to get the Part Number you need.

You don't have the product I need in stock! What can I do?
Hold tight!  We are getting new stock in every day. Simply sign up for the Waitlist on the correct product’s page and you’ll be immediately notified when it comes back in stock.

Remote Programming

Can you program the remote to my vehicle?
It is not possible for us to program or cut a key for your specific vehicle remotely. Physical access to the vehicle is required. You will either need to program the remote yourself or get a professional to program it for you.
Will I be able to program the keyless entry remote myself?
For many vehicles, yes! It’s easy and anyone can do it! Check out our Free Programming Instructions for easy step-by-step instructions to program your remote.  If your vehicle requires professional programming we let you know on each vehicle specific programming instruction page, so you’re not left with any doubt and searching all over the internet.  We recommend that you use our Auto Locksmith finder to have a Locksmith come to you and program the remote for cheaper than a Dealership: Auto Locksmith Finder.
What if professional programming is required for my vehicle?
We STRONGLY recommend that you call a local Automotive Locksmith for this service.  Locksmiths are generally more helpful, skilled at remote programming, won’t refuse service and are more reasonably priced than Dealerships for remote programming.

What if a Dealership tells me that my smart key cannot be programmed to my vehicle and I must purchase one from them instead (at a much higher price!)?
This happens and is exactly why we strongly recommend that you call a local Automotive Locksmith for this service.  Locksmiths are generally more helpful, won’t refuse service or mislead you into buying from them and are more reasonably priced than Dealerships for remote programming.

The Dealership can't get the Proximity or Push-to-Start function to work on my remote/vehicle. What's going on?
If your Proximity features are not working on your smart key, then the cause is that the Dealership or Locksmith has programmed the key to your vehicle’s computer but has not updated the key into the OTHER computer inside your car that is dedicated to proximity keyless-go features. In order to fix this issue, have your Programmer REINITIALIZE the PCM (Proximity Control Module) and your vehicle’s computer will synchronize so ALL features work on your vehicle.
Can I program more than 1 remote to my vehicle?
Yes!  Most keyless entry remote systems allow up to 4 remotes to be programmed to a single vehicle, but some may only allow 2. To verify how many remotes your car allows–contact your local Dealership with the VIN number of your vehicle.

What does 'OEM' mean?
OEM – These products are manufactured by the Original Equipment Manufacturer.  Meaning the company that supplied the original factory version of your remote for your vehicle.  These products are high quality and superior to “replacement” remotes being sold on the market.  If it says “replacement,” then it isn’t an OEM remote made specifically for your vehicle.

One reason we’re able to keep our prices down for our customers is the fact that we do NOT have a call center. We’ve been able to take care of all of our customers via our support email support@northcoastkeyless.com, so reach out to us there!
