  1. Kit –

    Showed up in 5 days as promised, looks perfect, worked on my new 2024 F-150 xlt. Can’t tell the difference between this one and the ones from the dealership. Took two tries to program it using the following procedure, but seems to work perfectly now. So try it a few times before you give up.

    1. Place the first programmed remote in the backup slot inside the cup holder or center console with your foot off the brake pedal, press and release the push button ignition switch.
    2. Wait five seconds and then press and release the push button ignition switch again.
    3. Remove the remote control.
    4. Within 10 seconds, place a second programmed remote control in the backup slot. Press and release the push button ignition switch.
    5. Wait five seconds and then press and release the push button ignition switch again. Keep the ignition on for at least three seconds, but no more than 10 seconds.
    6. Remove the remote control.
    7. Place the unprogrammed remote control in the backup slot and press and release the push button ignition switch.

    Much better than the knock off fobs you find on Amazon. Definitely worth the few extra bucks to get OEM. Programmed and worked right away. Just follow the instructions in the owners manual. This was an expect match for my 2024 XLT 302A. I always get a third fob for my Ford’s because it requires two fobs to program a new or replacement fob. If you only have two and you loose or break one (ie by jumping in the pool or lake) you have to pay a Ford dealer or a locksmith much more than the cost of purchasing one of these as a spare. Cheap insurance in my opinion.

    This is the same FOB you pay more for at the Ford dealer and they can still program it for you, they might not be able to cut the key, though, but that requires an original FOB anyway and can be done by a skilled locksmith if your local Ford dealer can’t cut the key

    The key fob was OEM and was easily programmed by the dealer for my 2023 Bronco Sport. The “free” key blade does not work in this vehicle even after the dealer laser cut two of them. The blade is not the same width and length to fit in the lock correctly. My dealer was kind enough to cut the only OEM blade they had and give it to me with the programming of the two remotes I bought. When I inquired about this from support, the answer was they were free- yes, but I still had to go through the hassle of finding out they would not work from the dealer thinking they cut them wrong. My time and their time was not free.

    Bought a aftermarket key and EZ installer from Tom’s Keys and though it worked 99.9 percent of the time, it always caused an “Ignition System Fault” on each startup of my Ford 2011 F350. Tom’s said it would go away. It didn’t after 7 months of using daily so I ordered this key and used the same EZ Installer and it works flawlessly, and took only 12 minutes to program.
