It took two tries, but it worked and I can’t tell the difference between the new key FOB and the originals. I did buy an additional battery in case one of my key FOBs ran out of power. The new key FOB comes with a battery installed in it.

    Ordered a new OEM fob as one of my originals started getting flaky with the unlock button working some of the time. The price was great and I was really hoping to be able to program it myself. Sadly, my vehicle doesn’t seem to allow that. So, I ended up having to pay a local locksmith to add the key. Now, when I showed him the fob he asked me where I got and and what I paid for it. When I told him he looked surprised and said “that’s a quality fob and that’s a better price than I’ve been getting!

    So, while I had to pay for the key addition, the end result was I still saved money over going to the dealer and having them do it. This fob has been performing very well and I just wish I did this sooner as I had gotten used to pressing the unlock button a number of times.
