Great price, shipping was pretty quick, the fob/remote programming process was straight forward (I’d give this side 5 stars). The key however was trouble from the start. I had to beg and plead my local locksmith to cut a key they didn’t sell me, then we went to program it to be able to start / operate the car and the chip was the wrong id #. Northcoast took a few days to respond (think I reached out over a weekend in their defense), after having me confirm with a Subaru dealer what the oem part number was, they sent me a new chip with the proposed correct id #, and after 3 hours of trying to get it to program and work, the locksmith gave up on account they’d tried everything they could think of including getting their tech support on the phone to assist them. They are willing to give me a refund but I decided to cut my losses (lock smith cost me $90), keep the key/remote and try a local company for just a new ignition key. Mine is an early 2008 Subaru Tribeca. The locksmith has told me that some of the aftermarket keys are tricky. I’ll likely buy at least a remote again from northcoast due to there service / policy,

I bought a keyfob for an 08 Suberu Tribeca and took it to a locksmith. He told me that the chips weren’t a match, but if I wanted to try to program it, he’d do it. It worked!!! I’m so glad to have a spare key!
