    Works better than the old one as it would not open trunk or unlock all doors with two presses. This one works perfect.

    I was nervous about ordering – the Volkswagen dealership where I live said that 90% of online ordered fobs were not programmable.
    The North Coast Keyless remote was a winner though, and worked without a hitch. Took off one star as the case became a little bent when I changed the battery on receipt.

    I bought 2, I have 2 working valet keys for my 2004 Jetta but only 1 of the fobs worked to lock or unlockv the doors , but it didn’t open the trunk and the panic button was missing.

    1 of the units came with a dead battery, and I found that out after putting it on my key. So make sure the light comes on before putting it on your key, because it was REALLY hard to get on and off again. Taking it off to change the battery scuffed it up worse a bit, but I was able to program it first try. All the buttons work as they should and now it will pop the trunk.

    Unfortunately, we were unable to program the second one, after several dozen tries and even trying another method we are unable to program it. But we still have the valet key which I guess is better than nothing for a spare.. and the 2 fobs were still cheaper than going to a dealership even with shipping to Canada.

    Great price and speedy delivery. I had replaced my key fob a couple of years ago, so I had a second key and was able to reprogram the key fob myself – that;s the only trick, if you only have one key, you will need to contact a locksmith/get a second key made to program to keyfob.

    Good service and fast shipping, BUT: *** Important detail: P/N: HLO1J0959753F has no immobilizer chip. It won’t work for VW MK4s with immobilizer anti-theft system without chip (and I could not find it separately) *** Engine won’t run for more than a few seconds without chip. I found this out the hard way after I spent $30 to get it cut. Now I have a spare door access key!

    This is an incredibly high quality OEM Fob for my 99 jetta. It is very high quality and good plastic just like the original ( without the VW emblem) I’ve had it for about a year and not only does the unlock/ lock feature work every time like a charm but the truck open feature also works with a little delay. I’m so happy with the quality of the product avg the customer service. Will get one for my Dodge Ram now too. Will save at least 150 bucks fun the dealer cost. Highly recommend !

    I have a 2005 Jetta and forgot my fob in my pocket and it went through the washing machine and stopped working. I had a working backup fob but ordered this product from North Coast.     I own the original manual and both master keys for my 2001 Passat. The rubber covers on both Fobs are badly worn. Only one would still lock/unlock. Using the reprogramming instructions in my manual, which were essentially the same as the ones provided by you, I made the nonworking Fob fully functional again. I will order another Fob to repair the second master key as well.
