The key fob was received within the shipping date provided, it was well packaged and contained a one page instruction document which was helpful. The key fob is brand new new as advertised and with the Chevrolet logo on it.
We decided that our best option was to take the key fob to our Chevrolet dealer, this is where we get the truck serviced, and have them cut the key and program it. The service dealer gave us two warnings, very firmly, stating that they did not guarantee their work since they could not vouch where the key fob came from. We accepted the risk and proceeded with the service. It was $177 to get key cut and programed plus $70 for key fob. The approximate total cost of $247 and peace of mind that key fob is authentic is worth the price.
We would recommend sticking with the dealer to get key fob cut and programmed, I will tolerate the speech (2x) about how it should be purchased from the dealer for a total of $500 + anytime.

Same exact fob I paid $180 for at the dealership. This fob from NorthCoast Keyless even includes the blank key insert. The dealership wanted to charge me an extra $60 just for the blank.
If you are in need of key fob, these are identical in every way to the one you would get at your dealership. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from NorthCoast again.
Side note…. I bought this fob for my 2020 Silverado 2500HD. In the programming instructions on this website it says there are no self programming options for my vehicle. Says you must take it to a dealership or locksmith to have them programmed. This is simply not true. There are step by step directions on programyourremote.com that worked flawlessly. Since I had 2 remotes already, it took me less than 5 minutes to program an extra fob. There are also directions for those of you who have lost all your fobs, or only have one. I can’t verify the results of those instructions however as I had two working fob when I programmed the new one from NorthCoast.
