I recently purchased a 2017 Audi A6 Quattro Premium that only came with one key. I want and need a second key and as you know the dealership cost is expensive. The Audi dealer is charging me nearly $700 for the key itself, and then an additional $180 to program it.
I have found inexpensive new and used Audi key fobs on both Amazon and eBay, but the customer comments indicate that they did not work in many cases and as you know, the dealership will not program these aftermarket keys that they did not sell. It appears that after model years 2016, the ability to get aftermarket Audi keys programmed is rather difficult. Can you, or anyone else, possibly assist me, or steer me in another direction, other than the Audi dealership? .I reside in North Carolina.
