Prepare Vehicle
CLOSE and UNLOCK vehicle using power door locks.

Enter Programming Mode
INSERT key into Ignition and TURN from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm Programming Mode.

Program Remote(s)
WITHIN 20 seconds PRESS ANY button on first keyless remote fob. Door locks will cycle LOCK/UNLOCK to confirm programming.

Program Additional Remote(s)
REPEAT the previous step IMMEDIATELY for any other remotes to be programmed to your vehicle.

Exit Programming Mode
TURN Ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

Test Remote(s)
TEST all remotes. Programming is now complete.

Important:
- Verify the following prior to following these instructions:
- Your vehicle is equipped with keyless entry, and
- You have a key fob remote that is compatible with your vehicle.
- Obtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle. This procedure will erase all previously programmed remotes. You must program all existing and new remotes that you wish to use on the vehicle at this time.
- You may clear your keyless entry system memory by entering programming mode as shown in the steps above.
Note: If your vehicle cannot enter programming mode, then you cannot program any remote. This indicates either no keyless entry installed on the vehicle or a defective keyless entry receiver module.

Hi.
I purchased this key fob online to use it on my Ford Focus 2009. I tried any different way to program it, but it does not work! It just beeps/chimes after 4 times, but nothing more happens when I press the keys on the remote. I tried over and over, 4 times or 8 times turning ignition, with locked and unlocked door, with fasten seat-belt or without, or any other ways which might help. But nothing at all. It drives me mad! Is there any guidance? Any clue? Your response is appreciated.
Turn off and on 8 times leave on run hit any button on key fob then any button on other fob

I just purchased a 2009 remote for my Ford Focus SE . Have not been able to Program it because all the step I was told to do don’t work.
