Programming Notes:

Obtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle. This procedure will erase all previously programmed remotes. You must program all existing and new remotes that you wish to use on the vehicle at this time.

Keyless Entry System Memory Clearing Instructions are noted in the dark blue colored steps below.

Step-by-Step How To Programming Instructions:

  1. CLOSE all doors.
  2. INSERT key into the ignition.
  3. PRESS and HOLD the power UNLOCK button on driver’s side door panel. DO NOT release until instructed to do so in Step 5.
    Quickly TURN the Ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF. (ON is the position just shy of starting your vehicle, OFF is the position where you can remove your key)
  4. RELEASE the power UNLOCK button on the Driver’s side door panel. The vehicle should respond by locking and unlocking automatically. (A) If locks cycle then CONTINUE to Step 6. (B) If the door locks begin to LOCK and UNLOCK BEFORE releasing the unlock button then the vehicle has not entered Programming Mode and you must START OVER. REMOVE key, OPEN door and RETURN to Step 1. (C) If the vehicle continues to LOCK and UNLOCK before releasing the UNLOCK button then there is a problem with the vehicle’s system and remotes must be programmed by a certified professional. If you are unable to get the door locks to cycle then you are turning the key too quick, too slow, there’s a problem with the vehicle’s system, or the vehicle is not equipped with a factory keyless entry system.
  5. HOLD the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote at the same time until door locks cycle again. This could take up to 30 seconds.
  6. REPEAT Step 6 for all additional remotes to be programmed,  including working ones.
  7. After Step 6 has been performed for all remotes TURN ignition to ON to exit programming mode.
  8. TURN ignition to OFF, and remove key.
  9. Test all remotes. Programming is complete.

    First, thanks for providing instructions! This makes the task of replacing key fobs much easier. By the way, do you know how the device got the name, “Fob”?

    There seems to be a typo in the directions. Step 3 states that one must not release the lock/unlock button, on the driver’s door, until step 5. Should it be step 4?

    I have ordered from you in the past and being a US Army, Special Forces Veteran, I do not purchase “cheap”, useless stuff. I am very active and my fob still looks and works great, several years later.

    I had to program another remote today and I noticed that the instructions are unchanged. Am I reading them in correctly or is there an error and the steps and/or language? Still, it was very simple and fast when I programmed another remote, so that my son would have one as well.

    If you are considering purchasing a replacement remote, look no further than this company. Do not purchase the one you see on eBay power and I say or from a reputable Company like North Coast Keyless. I have friends who have purchased some off of eBay and other sites that sell illegal phone and I can sure you that the ones that they are selling our j I have friends who have purchased some off of eBay and other sites that sell illegal phone and I can sure you that the ones that they are selling are merely JUNK, that you would be wasting your money and time on. I know that when my wife or my kids are traveling, that they are able to get into their vehicle, without fumbling with the keys to unlock the door, because, the remote doesn’t work. Women or at the most vulnerable when they are Unlocking their vehicle with a key and losing focus of the things around them and possible threats. I retired as a state law for Nelson, after 20+ years and I can assure you that The majority of attacks on women , That occur in parking areas, happen while they are attempting to unlock the door with a key. Not trying to scare anyone and I gain nothing by making these comments, other than to possibly save someone from serious bodily injury or worse. I have even seen where the cloned remotes unlocked the vehicle’s doors, while traveling down the road and small children opening the door.

    I cannot stress this enough – don’t take shortcuts when it comes to your loved ones safety .
