KEY FOB REMOTE - OPTION 1Step-By-Step How To Programming Instructions
- Inset Key
INSERT a key into the Ignition and TURN the Ignition to the ON position (just before cranking).
- Enter Programming Mode – Step 1
PRESS and HOLD the UNLOCK button on a working remote for 4-10 seconds.
- Enter Programming Mode – Step 2
WHILE holding the UNLOCK button, PRESS the PANIC button for 1 second and RELEASE both buttons at the same time. A chime will sound within 3 seconds to indicate successful entry into Programming Mode.
- Program Remote – Step 1
PRESS ANY button on the same remote until you hear another chime indicating that the remote has been successfully re-programmed. This Step MUST be done within 30 seconds of hearing the first chime in Step 3.
- Program Remote – Step 2
WITHIN 30 seconds PRESS ANY button on a NEW remote to be programmed to your vehicle.
- Program Additional Remote
REPEAT Step 5 to program any additional remotes to your vehicle.
- Exit Programming Mode
TURN Ignition to OFF and REMOVE key to EXIT Programming Mode.
- Test Remotes
TEST all remotes. Programming is complete.

- Sync Existing Remote
Using an existing working remote, PRESS the LOCK button 5 times at 2 second intervals to re-synchronize the remote.
- Inset Key
INSERT a key into the Ignition and TURN the Ignition to the ON position (just before cranking).
- Enter Programming Mode – Step 1
PRESS and HOLD the UNLOCK button on a working remote for 4-10 seconds.
- Enter Programming Mode – Step 2
While holding the UNLOCK button, PRESS the PANIC button for 1 second and RELEASE both buttons at the same time. A chime will sound within 3 seconds to indicate successful entry into Programming Mode.
- Program Remote – Step 1
PRESS the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on the same remote then RELEASE. The vehicle will chime to indicate that it has recognized the remote.
- Program Remote – Step 2
PRESS and RELEASE the UNLOCK button on the same remote. The vehicle will again chime to indicate successful programming of that remote. This Step MUST be done within 30 seconds of hearing the first chime in Step 3.
- Program Remote – Step 3
WITHIN 30 seconds of completing Step 5, PRESS the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the next remote to be programmed and then RELEASE. You will again hear a chime indicating that the vehicle has recognized the remote.
- Program Remote – Step 4
PRESS and RELEASE the UNLOCK button on the remote. The vehicle will again chime to indicate successful programming of that remote.
- Program Additional Remote
REPEAT Steps 6-8 to program any additional remotes to your vehicle.
- Exit Programming Mode
TURN Ignition to OFF and REMOVE key to EXIT Programming Mode.
- Test Remotes
TEST all remotes. Programming is complete.

- Verify the following prior to following these instructions:
- Your vehicle is equipped with keyless entry, and
- You have a key fob remote that is compatible with your vehicle.
- Obtain ALL remote transmitters for this vehicle.
- You MUST have at least one working remote in order for this procedure to work. If you don’t have at least one working remote, you MUST have the remote programmed by an Automotive Locksmith.
