Time needed: 5 minutes.
KEY FOB REMOTEStep-By-Step How To Programming Instructions
- Enter Programming Mode – Step 1
OPEN the Boot (Trunk) and LEAVE OPEN.
- Enter Programming Mode – Step 2
OPEN Driver’s door and LEAVE OPEN.
- Enter Programming Mode – Step 3
INSERT key into Ignition and TURN to the “ON” position (just shy of cranking engine).
- Enter Programming Mode – Step 4
ROCK Valet Switch (located in center console) 5 times. The vehicle will CHIRP and FLASH headlamps to indicate successful entry into Programming Mode.
- Program Remote(s) – Step 1
WITHIN 15 seconds, PRESS the ALARM/LOCK button on the first transmitter to be programmed. This transmitter will be programmed to Memory 1 position. Vehicle will TONE to signal successful programming of the transmitter.
- Program Remote(s) – Step 2
ROCK Valet Switch 1 time. Vehicle will CHIRP 2 times to signal that it is ready to program a second transmitter.
- Program Additional Remote(s)
REPEAT Steps 5-6 for each remote transmitter to be programmed (up to 5 total). Note: You MUST cycle thru 5 sets of Steps 5-6 in order to successfully complete the programming sequence. For example, if you only have 1 transmitter, program that transmitter and repeat Steps 5-6 until you’ve done it 5 times total.
- Exit Programming Mode
TURN Ignition OFF, REMOVE key, CLOSE Boot and Driver’s door to EXIT Programming Mode.
- Test Remotes
TEST all remotes. Programming is now complete.
