I had first called the dealer and they wanted over $100 for the fob alone and were going to charge me $75 to program it. I lost the only fob that came with my 2016 Cherokee. The dealership wanted $300 to replace and program a new one for me, plus I would have to have my vehicle towed since it doesn’t start without the fob. The fob I purchased was $69.94, programming from an automotive locksmith was $40 and service call was $45. This is about half of what the dealership wanted. I ordered the key at less than half of what the dealer quoted me AND they directed me to a locksmith who came to my home and programmed the key for less than the dealership would charge AND I’d have to bring the car TO the dealer. Had this programmed for a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee at the dealership. Cost roughly $60 for the programming. I was quoted $250 by the dealership for a similar key. That was without programming. Key works like it should. Would buy again. -CATARINA B.

Best place for FOBs . I purchased 2 from Amazon and wouldn’t program. I spent an extra $100 dollars on the alarm receiver thinking that was the issue. But Amazon fobs still didn’t work. I decided to order one from here being that they weren’t that expensive and hoped it would work . The fob has worked well with our 2016 Grand Caravan. I spent the extra money for this fob based on reviews. I took the fob to Batteries Plus where it was programmed for $35.00. The fob and programming, if all were purchased at BP, would have been $170.00. I ended up spending $75.00 total. - JOEL J.

I ordered this Key Fob for my 2008 Mazda 6, a few days later I received the unit and went to a local key shop here in Tucson and had the key cut and the fob programmed for my car. The unit worked perfectly. The local Mazda car dealer wanted to charge me $180.00 for the fob/key unit plus cutting the key and the programming. I paid the NorthCoast Keyless price of $59.94, plus $45.00 to have the fob activated. You do the math, which would you rather pay? Remote was exactly the same as the original, obviously OEM. It came with instructions, which were simple enough - we just couldn't find the reset switch they referenced. We ended up taking it to an auto locksmith, who programmed it for $45, so it was still cheaper in the long run than going to the dealer. - SANDRA D.
