I purchased a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban from a competitor but could never get it to work using the same programming procedure you have. I paid considerably less for my remote than the one you offer. Do you think your remote can be programmed for my 2004 suburban. I would like to have a remote if I can buy one that will work.

    Thank you

      Hey Bob!

Thanks for reaching out to us. There are many counterfeit keyless entry remotes being sold online for a fraction of the price that anyone could sell OEM products. They are often defective and low quality. We are in the process of updating our instructions, so please try the following instructions for your vehicle. If you cannot get your Suburban to enter programming mode (it means that your keyless entry module may be defective), you’ll need to call a local Automotive Locksmith for support. If you can get your vehicle into programming mode and the remote your purchased previously still will not work for you, go ahead and purchase the LHJ011 from us. It’s OEM and guaranteed to work or your money back with our NorthCoast Commitment Customer Guarantee. Please follow up with an email to [email protected] for further assistance.

      1. CLOSE all doors.
      2. INSERT key into the ignition.
      3. PRESS and HOLD the power UNLOCK button on driver’s side door panel. DO NOT release until instructed to do so in Step 5.
      4. Quickly TURN the Ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF. (ON is the position just shy of starting your vehicle, OFF is the position where you can remove your key)
      5. RELEASE the power UNLOCK button on the Driver’s side door panel. The vehicle should respond by locking and unlocking automatically. (A) If locks cycle then CONTINUE to Step 6. (B) If the door locks begin to LOCK and UNLOCK BEFORE releasing the unlock button then the vehicle has not entered Programming Mode and you must START OVER. REMOVE key, OPEN door and RETURN to Step 1. (C) If the vehicle continues to LOCK and UNLOCK before releasing the UNLOCK button then there is a problem with the vehicle’s system and remotes must be programmed by a certified professional. If you are unable to get the door locks to cycle then you are turning the key too quick, too slow, there’s a problem with the vehicle’s system, or the vehicle is not equipped with a factory keyless entry system.
      6. HOLD the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote at the same time until door locks cycle again. This could take up to 30 seconds.
      7. Now REPEAT Step 6 for all additional remotes to be programmed, including working ones.
      8. After Step 6 has been performed for all remotes TURN ignition to ON to exit programming mode.
      9. TURN ignition to OFF, and remove key.
      10. Test all remotes. Programming is complete.
      11. If these programming instructions helped save you time and money, please consider sharing our website with friends and family so they can do the same.

I triggered the remote start on my 04 Chevy by accident but have no idea which button sequence I pushed. My last 04 had the same function but that was over 3 years ago and I can’t remember it. I’ve tried the manual and online search, even Chevy.com to no avail. Do you know what the button sequence is?
